FACTS Extended BASIC FAQs

arrow   Module FAQ:

Q. I have a new CoProcessor module and I can't communicate with it, what's wrong?
A1. Verify your cable is wired correctly. The BASIC module uses pin 7 for signal ground. The default command port is port 1. If port1 RXD led does not flash when a key is pressed there is a cable problem or the COM port specified in ABM Commander is wrong.
A2. The module is shipped from the factory in AUTOSTART mode 3, which means that after power up it you must send it a space bar character first thing after power up.

Q. How do I read/write data to the PLC CPU?
A. Use the S405_ or BMOVE and DPORT instructions. The F4-CP-M manual contains details on these instructions.
