| Q. The 4LTC module readings are way
off from what I expect. A1 The LTC module has a calibration V-location that adds the number contained therein to the actual temperature being measured and displays that in the process temperature location. Verify this V-location (1 per active loop) is set to zero. A2 If a thermocouple calibrator is connected as the input, you must be aware that the LTC module uses active burn-out detection that some calibrators can not handle. Q. The 24V and TB LEDs are flashing back and forth. A1 Verify the module's slot dependent V-locations are set properly (check the error flag V-location for more information) A2 Verify the module's input type and jumper settings match. For example, if the module is jumpered for thermocouple and the input type is 8 or 9 (RTD input), the module will show the same symptoms. Q. Is there a way I can use an external output as the output from the LTC? A. Yes. When the onboard SSR controller output is on bit 15 of the Alarm Word for each loop is set. Therefore, whenever this V-location is >= 8000H you should turn on your external output. |
